Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple were the top three cryptocurrencies for 2017. They are also on our list of the top cryptocurrencies for 2018. However, there are a few new currencies that we feel will have big impacts on the crypto currency world in 2018.

The cryptocurrency world is changing rapidly, making it difficult to predict what will happen in 2018. New startups are coming out with innovative new technologies, while some of the older coins have been gaining popularity among investors and traders alike. We’ve compiled a list of our top 5 cryptocurrencies for 2018, based on recent developments and expected growth in 2018.

5 Top Cryptocurrencies For 2018:

Bitcoin

Ethereum

Ripple

Litecoin

Monero

2018 is a great year for crypto space. Crypto market cap has nearly doubled since the beginning of the year, and altcoins are leading the way.

If you’re new to the world of cryptocurrencies, this post is for you. Here are five top cryptocurrencies that will be popular in 2018:

1. Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency, with good reason. It was the first blockchain-based coin to hit the market, and it’s still by far the most valuable. As of April 2018, it’s worth $9,000 per coin – and I predict it will rise to $50,000 in 2018.

2. Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum is an open-source, public platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build tools that facilitate smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps). Currently worth around $550 per coin, Ethereum is a leader among altcoins due to its popularity among developers for creating DApps and smart contracts. I predict it will be worth $3,000 by the end of 2018.

3. Litecoin (LTC)

Launched in 2011 by former Google engineer Charlie Lee as an open-source project, Litecoin is a peer-to-peer

In the world of cryptocurrencies, is there such thing as too much choice? For the average investor, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest developments. As well as following the market daily, investors need to do their research when it comes to choosing the right crypto for them. Ultimately, there is no way to predict the future of a coin. However, some are more likely to succeed than others. Here are our top five cryptocurrencies for 2018 and why they stand out from the crowd:

Ethereum (ETH)

NEM (XEM)

NEO (NEO)

Cardano (ADA)

Lisk (LSK)

It’s been a wild year for cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency market rallied in 2017, adding almost $600 billion in value to the global economy. Of that figure, more than $500 billion was added in the fourth quarter, as bitcoin and other digital currencies soared in value.

With the total value of all cryptocurrencies valued at more than $800 billion and institutional investors pouring money into the cryptocurrency space, we believe that 2018 will be a big year for cryptocurrency adoption.

Here are our top five cryptocurrencies for 2018.

2018 has started with a bang and the cryptocurrency market is going through the roof. This is all thanks to the rise of bitcoin and its current price at around $14,000. Not only is bitcoin rising, but other cryptocurrencies are in on the rally as well.

Here are my top five cryptocurrencies that I think will be big in 2018:

1. Bitcoin (BTC)

2. Ripple (XRP)

3. Litecoin (LTC)

4. Monero (XMR)

5. Stellar Lumens (XLM)

Bitcoin has already risen by over $10,000 and it showed no signs of slowing down. The price rose from about $1,000 to almost $20,000 within a short period of 12 months or less. That is truly amazing and it was made possible by investors looking for an alternative to fiat currencies like the US dollar and Euro.

Ripple was designed specifically for banks and financial institutions so that they could make international payments faster and cheaper than they presently do with other means like Swift banking system or Western Union transfers. If the banks start using XRP as the default currency for cross-border payments then one XRP might be worth more than $100 today. This is a pure speculation; however,

Bitcoin is not a bubble, rather this is just the beginning. Bitcoin is here to stay, and it has a lot of room to grow. 2017 saw a growth of 900% in value for bitcoin, however we have seen a correction recently in the crypto market of around 30%. For 2018 I see bitcoin hitting $50,000 per coin and possibly even going as high as $100,000.

Ethereum was launched by Vitalik Buterin in 2015 and has gained traction as one of the most popular cryptocurrencies out there. Ethereum is similar to bitcoin but is much more flexible. The possibilities with Ethereum are endless; it’s like building a house on top of solid bedrock which can never be compromised.

Litecoin is an old cryptocurrency created by former Google engineer Charlie Lee back in 2011. Litecoin had a hard fork on 18th February which saw the creation of Litecoin cash. Litecoin was one of the best performing cryptocurrencies in 2017 with gains surpassing 9000%. Litecoin is set to continue its phenomenal growth trend this year too.

Ripple was created by Jed McCaleb and Chris Larsen back in 2012 and received an initial investment from Google Ventures. Ripple isn’t really decentralized and was created mainly for banks to use their network for international transactions between them
