What is Capco?
Capco is a new cryptocurrency that was created by the founders of the cryptocurrency community “Capco”. It is based on the Monero protocol and uses Proof-of-Work consensus to secure transactions. It will allow users to send funds to any recipient with only their public address, no need for a third party to act as an intermediary or provide escrow services.
Capco uses a different approach to other cryptocurrencies, in which a blockchain is used as the ledger for financial transactions. The idea behind this approach is that it allows users to exchange one currency for another without having to deal with banks or other financial institutions. Capcoin (CAP) is an open-source peer-to-peer network based digital currency – a decentralized form of electronic cash. Secure payments are made through direct transactions between individuals in the Internet without any intermediaries such as banks or payment processors. A cryptographic system is used to allow individuals to transact directly with each other while ensuring that new coins are created in a predictable and limited fashion. This process is called “mining” and participants in the network are rewarded for their participation with newly minted coins.
Capcoin uses the Proof of Work (PoW) consensus algorithm to ensure that transactions are verified and confirmed in a distributed manner. In addition to PoW, Capcoin also uses Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm to maintain the security of the network by rewarding stakeholders for holding CAPs for long periods of time.
