Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank.

Community guidelines
Do not use URL shortening services: always submit the real link. Only requests for donations to large, recognized charities are allowed, and only if there is good reason to believe that the person accepting bitcoins on behalf of the charity is trustworthy. News articles that do not contain the word “Bitcoin” are usually off-topic. This subreddit is not about general financial news. Submissions that are mostly about some other cryptocurrency belong elsewhere. For example, /r/CryptoCurrency is a good place to discuss all cryptocurrencies. Promotion of client software which attempts to alter the Bitcoin protocol without overwhelming consensus is not permitted. Trades should usually not be advertised here.*
Free cryptocurrency is the most important thing happening in the world today. Not only is it going to change the world, but it will help you achieve your goals, dreams and ambitions.
What is free cryptocurrency?
Free cryptocurrency is a digital currency created and stored electronically in a free wallet. It uses blockchain technology to allow you to securely send and receive your digital currency with no need for a bank account or middleman.
Most free cryptocurrency wallets provide users with an address that allows them to receive free cryptocurrency. The public address is a long sequence of letters and numbers that are publicly available, while the private key is kept secret at all times.
You can accept payments and make payments with anyone in the world who has a free wallet and an address by sending your payment from your wallet app to their address. Your wallet automatically creates both of these when you set up your account.
Free cryptocurrency is there for the taking, in a way. If you are in the right place, at the right time, and you have the right tools, you can grab it out of thin air. This blog will teach you how to do just that.
If you are new, I recommend reading my “What is cryptocurrency?” post first, to understand what this is all about.
So where does it come from? Well, the blockchain (the main technology behind all cryptocurrency) works by having each node in a network verify every transaction that happens. It does not matter if you have one node or one hundred thousand nodes – each node will verify every single transaction that ever happens on the blockchain. This means that it needs computing power to do so – and lots of it. To make up for this cost of electricity and hardware, most cryptocurrencies have a reward system in place. If a node successfully verifies a certain amount of transactions, they get rewarded with some coins.
This is where you can step in. By renting out your computers computing power to those who need it, you can get paid in cryptocurrency for doing so!
